Check this out!
Rising like a colossal finger of concrete, steel and glass out of the desert city of Dubai, this thing is truly MASSIVE! It already clocks in as the tallest building in the world, and it is not even finished. When it's complete it will be 800m high.
All glories to the victorious march of the human enterprise!

The expense in building such a monstrosity must clearly have a wide spread ecological impact both in it's sheer consumerism as well as in it's use of raw materials and waste left over from construction. It seems nothing other than a glimse into the effort of men (I'm assuming in this counry) to translate their false ego into something concrete by demonstrating their control over mother nature. The exact opposite of simple living...
